Our story
Marakai began with two brothers, one Land Cruiser and a stubborn belief that a safari should feel personal. Years later, we still run the company from Nairobi, still answer our own phones, and still send the same guides who first taught us to read the bush.
We are boutique by choice. A handful of departures a month means every guest gets our full attention: an itinerary drafted one-to-one, camps we have slept in ourselves, and a guide who knows which riverbank the leopard favours in October.
